The Caltech Library and the Graduate Studies Office invite graduate students who are writing their dissertations this Fall to join us for a 1.5 day writing boot camp on March 30-31, 2023 in the Sherman Fairchild Library on the third floor. The boot camp provides a calm, distraction-free environment for writing, along with refreshments and writing and formatting support. Students are expected to attend both days. Over the two days, optional consultations with the Hixon Writing Center and Caltech Librarians will help students address formatting, copyright, data, and writing questions. Hixon Writing Center instructors will be available the afternoon of Day 1 and the morning of Day 2. Signup sheets will be available starting at breakfast of Day 1.

Registration ends Thursday, March 23rd, 2022 at noon PST.

Note: When registering, you must certify that if selected you will be able to attend the bootcamp on both March 30th (all day) and the morning of March 31, 2023. Please understand the Library will contact your advisor to confirm your availability.

Thursday, March 30th Schedule:

• 1:00pm - 4:00pm  Writing Time & Optional Consultations with Writing Facilitators and Librarians
