SUMMARY:Three Minute Thesis (3MT) Competition 2022 Final Event (In-Person)
DESCRIPTION:Originally conceived by the University of Queensland\, the 
 Three Minute Thesis (3MT®) competition challenges Caltech graduate 
 students to explain their research in an engaging and clear three-minute 
 talk intended for a non-specialist audience. This year’s event is jointly 
 sponsored by the Caltech Library and the Graduate Studies Office. Given 
 Caltech’s prominence in science and engineering communities\, we feel 
 it's important to give Caltech graduate students the opportunity to 
 practice communicating their science in ways that will resonate and 
 inspire.\n\nThe final event for 3MT 2022 will take place on Tuesday\, April 
 19\, 2022 at 5:00 pm (Pacific).  \n\n \n\nYou are registering to attend the 
 final event in-person.  In-person attendance is limited to current Caltech 
 ID holders.  All others will attend online via livestream.\n\n \n\nWe are 
 pleased to partner with Caltech Theater and Public Programming for the 
 event\, which is also generously sponsored by:\n\n\n	Elsevier\n	American 
 Physical Society\n	IOP Publishing\n	Thieme/Science of Synthesis\n\n\nThere 
 will be four prizes awarded:\n\n\n	$3\,000 for first place (sponsored by 
 EBSCO)\n	$2\,000 for second place (sponsored by Elsevier)\n	$1\,000 for 
 third place (sponsored by Wiley)\n	$500 for the audience favorite chosen by 
 attendees (sponsored by Springer/Nature)\n
